Hello, I’m Sandy. I’m not only your Treasurer- I’m also a longtime resident, a devoted wife, and someone who has volunteered countless hours to support our community. I care deeply about Oakland Hills, and I approach every responsibility with honesty, dedication, and a genuine desire to make our neighborhood the best it can be. Managing our finances, helping with community events, and stepping in wherever needed are all part of how I serve. I believe in working hard, staying organized, and always doing what’s right for our community. Most of all, I believe in building a community we can all be proud to call home. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve, and I’m committed to giving continued support to our community with honesty. I was nominated to be on the board and unanimously approved in the summer of 2020.
I have lived in Oakland Hills 26 years. I attended a board meeting around 2008, when it briefly seemed that we might sell the facility to the City of Margate. I didn't want to lose the pool, since I still had three children at home. A month later, I was appointed to the board as 2nd Vice President. I later served as Vice President and Treasurer before becoming President when the previous President resigned late in 2019. My mission is to build community in this wonderfully diverse neighborhood. This has proved to be a challenge in this increasingly isolated world.

Monique Hope- Secretary- Connect Team leader

Since relocating to this community in 2020, I have actively contributed as a board member since 2021, holding the positions of Head of Security and Rental Manager in 2022. My qualifications include a Master's Degree in Public Administration and three decades of experience in finance. I consider myself a versatile professional. I am committed to upholding safety standards at the Oakland Hills Social Center. My approach is founded on the principle that reassuring our community necessitates demonstrating that safety and well-being are managed with both strategic foresight and personal commitment. My integrated focus on physical security and "Community Care" directly fosters a resilient and dynamic environment. I was nominated to be on the board and unanimously approved in December 2021.
I am a proud wife and mother who is deeply committed to serving our community. I believe in transparency, open communication, and being accessible and helpful to others. I am always willing to listen, learn, and lend a hand wherever support is needed.
I value research and informed decision-making, and I believe that strong, healthy communities are built when people come together with shared goals, mutual respect, and a willingness to collaborate. I am honored to be part of the board and look forward to working with residents to help our community continue to grow and thrive. I was nominated to be on the board and unanimously approved in October 2025.

Want to Join Our Team
My name is Carol, and I have been a resident of Oakland Hills since 1998. I have volunteered on the Social Team to contribute to creating a cohesive community by gathering ideas and coordinating activities that aim to make our neighborhood an exemplary place to live. My primary focus is on developing initiatives that support our youth. These efforts include organizing engaging events and activities designed to alleviate daily environmental stressors, as well as teaching young people positive interaction skills to serve as role models for their peers. I was nominated to be on the board and unanimously approved in the summer of 2020.
